Mall of Scandinavia Scandinavian Pavilion
Glamour, tranquility and dynamism at the largest commercial center in Northern Europe
Curves and counter curves, natural light, wide open volumes, 8-meter-tall windowpanes and a succession of perspectives. The journey through 250 boutiques making up 100,000m2 of space on two levels evolves softly with a rhythmic flow. The Designer Gallery creates a link between the walkways of the triangular floor plan.
Ode to creativity
The creative directors of Saguez & Partners collaborate with European plastic artists such as Polish architect Piotr Zuraw, who designed a sculptural 10×3-meter bench made with wooden slats and a metal base whose intriguing form invites one to sit, lie down, climb, jump, stretch out or curl up. In the hall, Berlin-based Judith Seng created a monolithic collection of 33 chairs and tables in lacquered sheet metal in gradient colors. British studio Scabetti reinterpreted the M of Mall of Scandinavia into a mobile anamorphic sculpture made up of 4,500 pieces of white fine bone china installed above the reception area. And a 700m2 carpet with colorful graphic illustrations by Denmark’s Am-Mainz covers the floor of the Designer Gallery.
