New office trends
Flex office, telecommuting, health & well-being, collaborative: Saguez & Partners, in association with Hauteur Libre, designed the new headquarters of the Boston Consulting Group, at 75 avenue de la Grande Armée in Paris. By moving into the heart of the new Porte Maillot district, BCG is offering its employees a new “place open to the city”. The emblematic building, once the headquarters of PSA Peugeot-Citroën, now boasts a 1,700 m² semi-open, active base, in the style of a Hub-Services. Could this be the new world of the office? Immersion.

Heritage of an iconic building in Paris
Built in 1964 by architect brothers Louis, Luc and Thierry Sainsaulieu,** the building, described as “one of the best French examples of the modern movement”, stands in stark contrast to the Haussmann architecture lining the Avenue de la Grande Armée. A 110-meter-long facade of prefabricated concrete modules, suspended glass panels 7 meters high in one piece, monumental 9-meter-high entrance hall crossed by gigantic concrete pillars... A benchmark in architecture, comparable to Oscar Niemeyer’s Cathedral of Brasília or Henry Bernard’s Maison de la Radio. This building bore witness to the heyday of French engineering, housing the headquarters of PSA Peugeot-Citroën until 2017. After reconfiguring the showroom of the automotive industry’s flagship company in 2002, Saguez & Partners conceived the interior design of BCG’s new headquarters.

Offices: Performance and Relationship
Natural light, acoustic and thermal comfort, ergonomics, fluid circulation and a high level of comfort are the key requirements of this redevelopment. Saguez & Partners and Hauteur Libre have designed a tailor-made usage plan, perfectly suited to the specific requirements of the business and working styles.
The spaces are designed to be modular, allowing each moment of the working day to be optimized: to isolate oneself alone or in pairs, to collaborate as a team, to organize meetings or videoconferences. Individual closed offices are transformable according to need, converting easily into meeting or workshop rooms for 2 to 4 people, for a short meeting or an hour-long workshop. Mobile boards covered with Kvadrat acoustic fabric on one side, and wall-writable whiteboard on the other, offer maximum flexibility. In short, everything here is moveable, modular, interchangeable and designed to encourage productivity and collaboration.
The Silence area on the 8th floor, with its large dining tables and individual alcoves in muted hues and soft materials, offers a setting conducive to concentration and well-being.
