Design new more ethical

Sustainable Design Agency

An agency committed to sustainable development as well as sustainable design

At Saguez & Partners, sustainable design means imagining and creating new, more ethical and responsible uses : for people as citizens, consumers, and collaborators, and for the planet. At the Manufacture Design, our sustainable design lab, we research, test, and develop our ideas in collaboration with architects, engineers, manufacturers, and ecologists.

Observe, think, experiment, make mistakes, refine, and progress.

Manufacture Design

At the heart of the Docks de Saint-Ouen

The Manufacture Design is a CLT wood box tucked into a century-old industrial hall, the only preserved building in the largest sustainable development district (100 ha) at the edge of Paris. The 5,000 m² building features 1,000 m² of planted gardens and terraces. By dedicating 20% of its total surface area to plants, the Manufacture Design is a carbon sink.

Here, air conditioning is replaced by an electric wave cooling system. French-made and recyclable materials are favored: formwork wood partitions and storage units, recycled marble furniture, compressed bamboo flooring... Always on the lookout for sustainable initiatives, the agency has developed a line of agile furniture with French manufacturer CLEN and the 1st collection of eco-responsible carpets with Danish manufacturer EGE, previewed here.

What is sustainable design?

An essential aspect of sustainable development: combating our concepts’ obsolescence.

By creating robust projects, both in terms of the quality of the plans and the uses envisaged, avoiding passing trends. This is how we guarantee sustainability. Our approach is based on a comprehensive process, from observing and gathering needs to anticipating operations. Thanks to this method, we have developed a solid know-how in the selection and implementation of materials and furnishings adapted to each use. We are committed to designing spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing and functional, but that will stand the test of time.
