The materials library

The Manufacture Design is home to a 150 m² materials library dedicated to researching and developing environmentally responsible materials. Led by Sébastien Huille, this space serves as both an innovation lab and a strategic watchtower, structured around three core pillars: cost, performance, and sustainability.

With over 500 suppliers and 10,000 material references, the library is a key resource for sourcing and crafting sustainable solutions. All materials are selected based on a rigorous environmental charter, which considers supplier CSR commitments, eco-friendly manufacturing processes, waste and offcut management, as well as certifications and quality labels. Each material is also evaluated for its carbon footprint, composition, and contribution to the circular economy.
