Interior Design Magazine rewards Saguez & Partners

The Interior Design Best of Year Awards winners were announced November 30. The event, hosted by Interior Design magazine, took place in New York: a double win for the agency!

Interior Design magazine’s 13th annual Best of Year Awards—which honor top design projects and products around the world—included 2,000 entries in 133 categories. Saguez & Partners won in the category of “Extra-Large Office” with the new office of the Regional Council of Île-de-France. And since all good things come in pairs, the agency also received the “Honoree” label for the Parly 2 mall in the category of “Large Retail.”

Winner, Best of Year Award 2018 – Category “Large Office”

Previously dispersed among 16 different locations in the 7th arrondissement, the regional council was recently consolidated in a vast new building in Les Docks, a nascent eco-district in Saint-Ouen. Moving the headquarters will provide a better working environment that meets the new needs of employees, as well as provide the Regional Council with a place that respects environmental, technological and accessibility standards. It’s a true model project for a 21st-century administration that is more transversal, open and connected. Selected by Tishman Speyer, Saguez & Partners supports the project with its signature Workstyle® approach to design a new work environment for the agents and officials of the region that is quirky, fresh and bold.

Opened in 1969, Parly 2 was the first shopping mall in France, inspired by the American way of life of the 1960s. The revival of this historic space demanded a respect for its original elegance, noble construction materials, light quality, scale and graphic design elements. Saguez & Partners created a place to shop, to enjoy, suited to today’s lifestyle.
